Do I need to sign up or download anything to use Decoded?
No, you only need your regular email account. Send your first email to [email protected] (or any other assistant), and you’ll be automatically registered as a user.
How do I send files to an assistant?
Files should be sent to assistants as attachments. Assistants do not have the capacity to download files from links at this time.
Should I fill out the 'subject' field when emailing an assistant?
No, assistants do not consider the 'subject' field of emails they receive. This means you can provide a subject for your own reference or leave the field blank. All critical information you need an assistant to consider should be included in the body of your emails.
How long does it take for an assistant to respond to emails?
You will generally receive a response within 2-3 minutes from most assistants. Tasks which require deep research or file manipulation will take approximately 5 minutes. If you do not receive a response from an assistant within 10 minutes, something has gone wrong.
I never received a response to my email. What happened?
If you do not receive a response from an assistant within 10 minutes of sending an email, something has gone wrong. The cause is usually one of the following:
Temporary server overloads or network outages on our end or yours.
Our system marked your message as SPAM or your mail server has been blacklisted.
Your email exceeded the size limit enforced by our mail server and the message was dropped. You should receive notification of this. Please keep messages below 15MB.
Your email could not be received for some other technical reason and was bounced. You should receive notification of this.
The assistant responded, but the email might be in your spam or junk folder. Check these folders and whitelist the address to prevent this from happening again.
If you are consistantly missing repsonses from an assistant, please email [email protected] with the details.
